By Train | |
Winckley Square is a 6 minute walk from Preston Railway station. Leave the Railway station by the main exit. Turn right onto Fishergate. Proceed along the right hand side of Fishergate, across Mount Street and Chapel Street, as far as Barclays Bank. Turn right into Winckley Street and walk ahead to the Northern side of Winckley Square and the start of An alternative route is to leave by the side exit to Butler Street, marked "Car Park". Walk across the large car park to the rear of the Fishergate Shopping Centre to the corner of East Cliff Road and Garden Street. Proceed along Garden Street to the junction of Garden Street and Chapel Street, which marks the Western side of Winckley Square. |

Winckley Square is a 10 minute walk from Preston Bus Station. Leave the Bus station by the Guildhall exit. Turn left into Lancaster Road and precede 100 metres to the intersection of Lancaster Road, Church Street and Fishergate. By Car | |
There are a limited number of short-stay (one hour) parking spaces in Winckley Square. The main Town Centre car parks are by the Railway Station, over the Bus Station and in Avenham Lane. When driving in Winckley Square note that, Chapel Street, on the Western side of Winckley Square, is two-way traffic. The Northern, Eastern and Southern sides are one-way (clockwise) traffic.
