AVENHAM AND MILLER PARKS RESTORATION. Preston City Council wishes to refurbish and restore the above Parks. This improvement work is dependent upon the success of funding bids to the Heritage Lottery Fund and other funding bodies, and to further consideration by the Council. The Restoration proposals include the restoration of the original Victorian designs of Edward Milner, together with the Japanese Garden, which was a later addition. Modern facilities, including lighting, an Interpretation Centre and a new bandstand are also proposed. |
